For 2 weeks we create our Art of Being community at Blue Spirit, an elegant, brand-new retreat centre next to the white Pacific sands of the fabulous Guiones beach. All around us is the verdant, tropical peninsula of Nosara, one of the most beautiful green zones in the country. Here we live an unhurried and potentially life-transforming mix of time together in the Art of Being circle, and time exploring and enjoying this Eden of Central America. Come to restore the full aliveness of your body, senses, feelings, heart and soul! Come to celebrate, in this tropical paradise, all the gifts of being! Nosara is an enchanting mix of nature and little pockets of human habitat tucked discreetly into the jungle. The Blue Beach Retreat is a perfect vacation facility for people who seek to pursue their personal growth in a tropical haven of sunshine, ocean, jungle and small-scale, eco-friendly community. There is an abundance of monkeys and other wildlife. Most of the animals pay little attention to the human residents as both have learned to live together in Nosara. Blue Beach Retreat sits just above a three-mile wide, extraordinarily beautiful white sand beach. The venue includes a natural salt water swimming pool, with a graceful infinity edge on the ocean side of the pool. Blue Beach also offers hot-tub, library, cafe, and WiFi access in all rooms.



HIGH ON LIFE!
Mornings!
Each morning (except on days off, or when we go on full-day trips) we gather together to share, open, explore, learn, heal and meditate together. The setting for our gatherings is the circle, guided by Alan. Very naturally we become an intimate family-community that also offers a beautiful blue-print for learning to live happy, healthy and vibrantly present. Here you are able to live your dreams and longings, share your stories, release the burdens you've been carrying, find inner aspects you thought you had lost or never knew you had and learn to celebrate all the gifts of your being.


Afternoons!
Every afternoon is time to simply enjoy, explore, relax and revel in the wild and vibrant beauty of Nosara. Turn one way and you are on the beach, turn round and you can wander the jungle trails. Or you may choose to go exploring the little cafes, bistros and shops that blend into their jungle background around Nosara. Sometimes we'll go on trips together. Naturally you are free to go your own way or just to relax at Blue Beach where you are quite likely to run into other vacationers who have found a good excuse to take a break from the North American or European winter.

Evenings!
The evenings lend themselves naturally to music, dance and intimate sharing, or intimate aloneness if that is your preference. This is the Tantra-time of the adventure, with space and time to open in relaxation and surrender into your own art of BEING... HERE... NOW. Your desires and longing, your boundaries and personal sovereign space, your sensuality and your solitude all have their place. These evenings are a way to discover what is beyond the structured! If you know Alan's workshops, you know that the music is sublime, whether it has you dancing your rocks off, melting into ecstasy or trancing into mystic states of expanded consciousness. And naturally, on only our second evening together, since existence has designed it so, a Valentine Celebration of Being in Love!

Final days
Bringing it all back home! In the final days there is time to assimilate and integrate all that has happened so that in your life back home you can continue to celebrate all the gifts of your being.

Celebrating nature
There are ideal year-round surfing conditions - for beginners too! Also kayak excursions, snorkeling and horseback riding on the beach. For still more adventure, there are canopy and zip-line tree-top tours offering thrilling views of the Costa Rican jungle canopy. And, of course, there are miles upon miles of soft, white sand beaches for long walks and gorgeous sunsets.



DATES, ACCOMMODATION, REGISTRATION, ETC
High on Life begins 20.00 on Saturday 13 February (registration from 14.00) and ends the night of Thursday, 25 February. Airport shuttles available for arrival on Sat 13 Feb, and for departure from early morning on Fri 26 Feb.

Accommodation
The accommodation that is still available is in either luxury tents or plantation casitas superbly located to bring you close (safely!) to the teeming life of the surrounding jungle. Because there are the most economical options your total price can be as low as $1,930 (tent, double occupancy, for couples).

Transport
Transport is generally not included but there will be a shuttle service for arrival and and departure. Car rental is not necessary, but cars and bicycles can be rented at the Blue Spirit Retreat.

Your destination airport is Liberia (LIR), 2 hours by car from Blue Spirit, or San Jose (SJO) - 4 1/2 hours away. There are also local flights from San Jose to Nosara, just a 5-minute taxi ride from Blue Beach.

Price
Price is for 13 nights (12 High on Life days) and includes workshop fee, accommodation and three excellent natural vegetarian meals a day plus fish, all locally produced.
